# Do We Know the Names of the FBI Agents in the Nassar Case?

It seems a senior FBI agent was monkeying with statements, preventing the Nassar case from going anywhere. At the same time, he was negotiating with USA Gymnastics for a post-retirement job. It looks for all the world like he was cutting a deal for a bribe.

[Recently, some FBI agents were fired.](https://www.foxnews.com/us/usa-gymnastics-sex-abuse-scandal-fbi-senate-testimony) I suppose at least one of them was the fellow I am describing. None of them were charged with a crime.

Maybe I skimmed right through it, but **do we know the name of the FBI agent who was in negotiations with USA Gymnastics?**

From the Wall Street Journal:

The report said that the special agent in charge of the Indianapolis office, Jay Abbott, behaved inappropriately by contemplating a job opportunity at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, and later mused with a friend about applying to fill Steve Penny’s position at USA Gymnastics after Mr. Penny resigned.
