I started my career in the biostatistics dept of a pharmaceutical company. Lots of lab animals of many kinds. Didn’t take me long to begin wondering if we aren’t all part of some giant lab expriment. When the lab techs would come to collect some of the cages from the animal rooms & give them their injections, do you suppose the little critters went back telling the others how they’d again been abducted by aliens and subjected to probes??? ---

Just in case I am the subject of a Truman show-like existence, I often times keep up a dramatic dialog when I’m alone. Sometimes I even try to frame some easy shots for the director: silhoutte (sp?) against the night sky on a rooftop; looking thoughtfully through a window. That sort of thing. On the other hand, two minutes ago, i was sitting here in front of the computer plucking nose hairs. Hope none of you saw that. ---

And by the by… the reason people with “babies” block your path with prams is because there aren’t babies in the prams at all. There are wide-angeled-lens cameras in there! Just trying to get a good view, is all. ---

Then there’s Matrix which everyone has seen and The Thirteenth Floor which is another new release. Excepting the special effects, I thought The Thirteenth Floor was more neat. ---

I’m pretty sure my life is not like The Truman Show. If everything I did was being taped my mother would be calling me bitching at me all the time about the shit I do (and have done!) Hmmm… you know, come to think of it, I do sometimes get the feeling that I’m being watched by lots of people… in my home… as I go about my daily life. Then to add to the creepiness I get mail from people tellng me how cute I look when I sleep, or asking me what is that I’m drinking, or telling me the dog looks like he needs to go out.
