# Do we remember only 3% of our lives? \[discussion of memory and the "factoid"\]

It’s just impossible to quanity. If they mean what I’m thinking from second to second it is way way less that 3%.

On the other hand, I can summarize pretty well (I think), and I am sure that a lot of things have _not_ happened in a period of time, so it’s not like it’s entirely gone from memory either.
