Anyone know the statistics on circumcision here in the U.S.? Are most men circumsized at birth? The grand question: Do women like uncircumsized men? ---

It just seems odd that it is so widely practiced. I think it should probably be up to the person rather or not they want part of their phallus chopped off. ---

Personally, I’m glad that my parents chose to have me circumcised. To a lot of people I know, the natural penis is considered … less attractive. And in the gay community, appearance is everything 😉 ---

This is anecdotal but in my experience, there are very few women who will date only “uncut” men, but many who will date only circumcised men. Or, I should say, many who have at least led me to believe they are happy that I am circumcised, and that they think uncircumcised penes are scary and/or icky. It might also be noted that most mainstream porn depicts circumcised men, perhaps alluding that they are more attractive. ---

I couldn’t care less, as long as the man is hygienic. As the old joke goes, it’s the useless flap of skin at the _other_ end of the penis (ie the man!!) that is most important. ---

When at college I went out with a girl from Indiana. The first time we got hot and heavy, she screamed “oh my God it’s got a hood on it!” Not only had she never seen an uncut willy before, she didn’t even know of the existence of the foreskin. But hey, if you’re especially attracted to big tits, what’s wrong with not wanting to date flat-chested women? I agree it’s shallow, but physical characteristics are big part of choosing a date and/or mate. The argument could be made that you wouldn’t want to date anybody with those requirements anyway. Well, having had the opportunity to perform a, ummmm, longitudinal study, I can honestly say it’s pretty darn unimportant to me as long as proper hygiene practices are observed. As for gay men: well, a good HS buddy of mine who now lives in the Bay Area is gay, and we were actually talking about this issue just the other day (a mutual friend is about to have a baby boy, and being Jewish but a hippie, is curently having this very debate with her husband). He swears that uncircumsized men have a great deal more sensation, because 80% of the nerves in that general neck of the woods pass through the foreskin. And he’s a biologist by education. Come to think of it, maybe I should send him that JDT link… ---
