Ahh..the old horseback theory. That one really is offensive. When I was a young girl(thru late teen) and rode a horse it never occurred to me this was a possibility. I don’t think it occurred to anyone I rode with. We watched a young man get hurt pretty bad when his horse kicked up his heels and threw the boy into the saddle horn. Yeah, pain was the only thing I saw. I think this may be wishful thinking on the men watching women straddled on horses. Not true at all. ---

FWIW, the washing machine meme is frequently combined with the Suction Cup Base sex toy, and they _do_ make those. ---

Also who wants to think about the laundry when you’re getting off? “Oh shit, that’s right, I have to put away these towels.” Maybe if you’re cosplaying a trad wive. I can think of less sexy places than the laundry room, but not many. ---

Anything that vibrates to a certain level/intensity has the _potential_ to provide pleasure to a woman if applied to the proper portion of her crotch. Leaving aside the difficulty of actually contacting those parts of her crotch with the washing machine, it would have to be one heck of a shaky-shaky mechanical device to create the desired effect. I suppose there are people out there with a kink for washing machines, just as there are people with a kink for inflated balloons or latex body suits, but they’re the exception and not the rule (which is to in no way imply there is anything wrong with being exceptional). Which circles around to the issue that women are in no way identical. There is _nothing_ that _all_ women reliably “get off on”. I would say, after more than 60 years of living on this Earth as a woman, that any woman “getting off on” sitting on washing machine would be in the “exception” group I mentioned in my previous paragraph. The majority of us view washing machines as a vast improvement over the prior techniques of wash buckets and manglers, or the earlier system of beating wet laundry on river rocks and not sexual devices. That languid and relaxed posture we _might_ adopt after loading one has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with relief that we might have some energy left after doing the chores. ---

If you’ve ever raised 4 children and done the amount of laundry we now deal with I assure you we understand what _women_ have been dealing with for ages. If that medieval lady wanted to sit on her wash board and rock and wiggle I wouldn’t be grudge her. I doubt she had time to do that, tho’. That laundry ain’t gonna wash itself. Then you gotta hang it to dry. Milk the cow, cook the food. Breastfeed the baby. Clean, clean and clean. Everything was nasty in those days. Unless you were in the upper class. Then you had servants or slaves do it. Yeah, I don’t think laundry, 3rd world or 1st world engendered sexy feelings in most women. If you’re wasting time riding a washing machine, you’ve got too much time on your hands. ---

Laundry can still be a lot of work with a big family. I read an analysis of women’s household labor that showed these magical washing machines and dishwashers didn’t suddenly reduce the time women spent on housework. On the contrary, it just raised the bar for cleanliness higher than it was before. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to go back to the washing board. But I do think about stuff like that periodically when I’m doing laundry. One thing I don’t often think about, while doing laundry, is sex. ---

Really, people of both genders can and do use just about anything that vibrates as a masturbation tool, if they can. I expect the distinction of a washing machine is that you won’t find much evidence of it actually happening because it’s pretty safe, and the people who do it _don’t_ end up in emergency rooms. People have used heavy industrial machinery to masturbate, and we know that because they often _do_ end up visiting the emergency room. That said, I suspect that many more men have masturbated with washing machines than women just because the shape is less awkward for them. Not to get explicit, but for anatomical reasons men have an easier time masturbating with a vertical surface than women do. In fact, I wonder how much of the “woman masturbating with a washing machine” meme is just a matter of projection. ---

If I had to guess this whole idea came from men in the 50s as a result of this idealized version of sexy housewife you see in all those advertisements. Probably a _Dear Penthouse_ thing. I’m not trying to shame it, but you realize vibrators are a thing, right? Why go to all that trouble when you have a glorious item designed for just that purpose? ---

I can see a female getting off from the vibration of a (straddle) motorcycle seat. I don’t see it from a horse, unless she has a horse fetish. Does it ever occur to you that you might just be wrong about something? Sorry to hear about your lack of experience in this area.
