I don’t use aspirin, mainly because I used to think I was allergic to it because it caused a rash or something when I was an infant. I don’t think I’m still allergic if I ever really was, but out of habit I still get other types of pain relievers. And I ALWAYS get the cheaper generic brands. Buying Advil or Tylenol brand seems a pure waste, when the same active ingredient is in the generic. ---

No. Why would I want to pay more than twice as much for that particular brand when I can easily purchase a generic brand that is pharmacologically _identical_ to the Bayer product? Why would I want to throw my money away needlessly? ---

**RevTim** Babies aren’t supposed to take aspirin, as far as I know. It can cause serious and fatal illnesses. IANAD. I don’t take aspirin. It doesn’t kill my pain. I do buy Advil rather than the generic Ibuprofen if I have the money because I’m a sucker for the candy coating. ---

My doctor told me to take one baby Bayer every day, so yes, I generally buy that brand. ---

There’s nothing special about any particular brand. Baby aspirin is simply a lower dosage than adult aspirin (81 mg, to be precise). Buy the absolute cheapest 81 mg aspirin tablets you can find. They’re identical to the name brand, just cheaper.
