Yes. In fact, there was a story on NPR not too long ago that they were looking for folks who are culturally and graphically literate so that they can weed out images that are either objectionable or copyright violations.

Darn. I was hoping to get some for my sister that had Barbie on them.
I guess that also means no Budweiser cans or Calvin & Hobbs or “K Mart Sucks”.

AskNott and phungi: You don’t get to just keep using the old ones once the price goes up. You’ll have to add on a 2-cent stamp.

I used to work at USPS HQ, and I vaguely remember someone telling me that they’ll always charge an odd number for stamps because they make more money that way. I don’t remember why that is, but there you go.

Does anyone know why this would be true?

FedEx does contract some of the USPS’s Priority and Express mail, but it hasn’t affected the quality of the service. If anything it has gotten a bit faster.

I think that was the point.
