# Do You Carry Condoms?

Men and women, do you carry condoms with you when you go out, on a date or just to hit the town, to be safe and prepared? Secondly, what do women think when they are with a guy and he has condoms, is it:
“Where does he get off thinking he was going to need those?”
or
“Well isn’t he thoughtful and forward thinking?”

Woman here - I carried them when I was single, though it’s not necessary anymore.
I’ve never been offended at a guy carrying condoms. It’s smart to carry them, for both men and women.

I probably should, especially since the last and only time my girlfriend and I had a go at it, we couldn’t find one and by the time we did, the moment had passed.

Nope. I’m single and know I’m not going to have any use for them. The only circumstance I could _possibly_ forsee needing them is if I’m way, way past drunk, in which case, I doubt I’d think to dig one out for him.
If a guy I went out with had one or two on him? That’s good. It doesn’t mean he’s planning anything but it means he _is_ planning to be responsible.

I have a bunch in my bedside table at home (dorm). I figure whoever’s room you go back to should pony up the goods. So far it’s been a sound system… but I don’t know how well this works outside of a college setting and in the real world. Do most men have a stash at home?

I carry them on dates, and have a stash (half dozen maybe?) at home. Of course, on the rare occasion I have a date, I always wind up throwing it back into the stash when I get home.

If I were still single, I would carry condoms on a date. By the time the moment for producing one came up, I would hope that neither of us would be offended by the other having thought ahead. How is that worse than having to stop at a drugstore on the way to our romantic rendezvous?

Damn. . .
Ok, I’m kinda irresponsible. I’m sorta opposite from the other posters in this thread. For me, it’s not a “always have one, but never need one” kinda thing. It’s a “Don’t mind going to a club alone, because I won’t leave alone” kinda thing. And I never think to keep condoms with me. I might have a few in my car someone. Beats me. I think I have some around this desk somewhere. HellifIknow.
But I’ll tell you. I am sooo shocked at how little girls seem to care. Wait, that doesn’t sound right. I’m not talking about tiny girls and how much they care. I’m saying that girls care very little, as far as I’ve seen. A small percentage are on the pill, and that’s good (no great!), but that’s not going to protect them from STDs.
Hmmm… I know if I was a girl I would be so paranoid about getting pregnant by some guy I just met.
Oh. And please don’t lecture me. I know how risky the behavior is. I also know potato chips will make me fat and clog my arteries, but that doesn’t stop me, OR YOU (admit it) from eating them! I’m just trying to answer the OP honestly.
I don’t know if girls mind when a guy _has_ a condom. But suprisingly they don’t mind if he _doesn’t_.

Ditto. Not necessarily by _choice_, but meh.
I used to have a just-in-case condom in my purse when I would go out. But it was laughing at me, so I shot it.
Besides, I’m not the type to sleep with someone I’ve just met. If I start dating someone, yeah, I’d make sure to have one with me in case things get sexy.
Finding out that a guy I’m with has a condom or two handy in a wallet or something is great. Just means he’s responsible. Now, if he whips out the Mega-Lo-Mart 128-pack… we have a problem.

I’ve never carried a condom. I never even saw one until after I got married - mainly because I abstained for more years than some of the posters on this board have been alive. And since I got married, I haven’t needed one. Don’t like 'em, you could hit Mr. Happy with a hammer and I wouldn’t feel it.

You never use condoms? Then that’s not going to protedt you from STDs either.

I’m with **Bear\_Nenno** on this one.
Personaly I’m not too worried about catching anything. I’m 34 and have around 40 women under my belt and haven’t caught anything yet. (I know this for sure because I give blood 3 to 4 times a year…)
Go figure…
