# Do you covid test every time you get a cold?

When i had covid (diagnosed by a home test) i asked my doctor for metformin to reduce the risk of long covid. I had previously asked him about that study, which i found in my obsessive search of the medical literature on covid.

As metformin is cheap and safe, he wrote me the prescription.
