I’m sitting here at work, snickering because I have a really inappropriate sense of humor and a fairly vivid imagination. You see, I’m reviewing potential venues to exhibit our service. I’m looking at some “Senior Fun Fests,” some of which market senior sports arenas. Having seen _The Gladiator_ last night, I can’t seem to stop thinking of a poor guy in a walker in the middle of a large Roman arena, possibly preparing to throw a discus (yeah, I know the discus part is really Greek). Now, I _know_ it’s inappropriate. And I’m fully aware it’s not funny at all. But I can’t stop laughing. It’s been a very, very long week despite the extended holidays (or maybe because of them). This happens a little too often for my taste. I wish my brain would just shut up sometimes. So, please tell me I’m not alone! What caused your moments of inappropriate laughter and hilarity? ---

When I saw the NYC papers the day after the 2000 election. Who was on the front page? Was it Bush? Noooo…Was it Gore?..No. It was Hillary. That was hilarity to me. I started laughing so hard I had to sit down in the grocery store. Several people asked me if I was all right. ---

I sometimes think my inner monologue is funnier than most people I know. It tend to run sarcastic, to mostly snarky, though…so unfortunately, I need to keep it to myself. So yeah, I crack myself up…😃 (or spend most of our weekly staff meeting giggling behind my hand). ---

As it is, when 1 or 2 things slip out, laughter can disrupt work in 8 directions. As it is, I’ll occasionally Twitter 1-2 things a day on breaks just to share them. Since it was the end of 2010, I looked back at what I wrote this year. Darned if some of it wasn’t actually pretty funny (did I write that?). If I could manage to write even Half of that down I’d have a book in no time. Sometimes I kid myself that if I could find a group of people who ever specialized in one liners for entertainment, I’d find my dream job… but the truth is that those guys/gals are funny All the time, not just 2 or 3 times out of 5. They have Talent.
