Here in the Rochester area we have the [Inner Loop Blog](https://innerloopblog.com/), a satirical fake news site about local affairs. I’m sure many of the jokes will not make sense to people outside of the region. But go check it out if you want to read jokes about Lovely Warren, Wegmans, the Red Wings, and Kimberly & Beck. When I was in grad school in the late '80s, we had a satire paper, started by a couple of guys who had worked at the “legit” student newspaper. It was “The Onion.” 😃 ---

Not so much news as dystopian social commentary, the UK also has the [Scarfolk](https://scarfolk.blogspot.com/) site. It’s not as popular as Private Eye but on the other hand the British government has [struggled to see the difference between Scarfolk and its own work](https://sputniknews.com/viral/201807231066617683-uk-rabies-poster-gaffe/) at times. ---
