My wife and I have differing opinions. She’s a bag hoarder, and I’m a “Oh jeez, we’ll get five more tomorrow at the store, so don’t worry” guy.
We settled on a five-gallon bucket in the laundry room as the Bag Holder. She packs them in there as hard as she can. I once had occasion to swap out the bucket for another, and I started counting bags just to see how many. I got up to around 300 or so before giving up.
We got a gizmo from IKEA where we cram plastic bags for use when cleaning the cat box. Others are crammed into a basket in the pantry for disposing of gross garbage or any number of other things one might need a bag for. When the pantry supply gets too huge, I’ll fill a bag with bags and take it to the recycle bin outside the grocery store.
I have fabric tote bags in the car and I occasionally remember to take them into the store with me, but it’s never really become a habit. I need to be better about it.
I have a bag o’bags under the buffet in the dining room, and a bag o’bags upstairs in the cat room. Bags are used for dirty litter. What will us krazy kat owners use if grocery bags are outlawed???
A little different, I keep two kleenex boxes and stuff them with bags, so when I need one they come out like tissues, its convenient and reduces clutter.
No. I always carry a cloth tote bag (I only have one good hand and like to keep it free) and I work as a store cashier. I can get all the plastic bags I want every day. I’m not hoarding them.
I have a bag filled with plastic bags because what else am I going to do with the plastic bags before I take them back to be recycled? But that seems to be outside the scope of the OP’s poll.
We not only have several regular plastic bags full of plastic bags, but we have plastic bags full of various sizes of plastic bags. Madame P. and the Princess are artists, and they have to sort beads and charms and other stuff.
