LOL, in my case, the embarrassment would come from how irrefutably yawn-inducing it is. I’d feel sorry for the investigator tasked with verifying it. Give that woman another cup of strong coffee!

I have not left the house since the 20th due to being sick with Covid. While the security cameras at the front of the house will prove that neither me nor my car has left at all during the past 9 day’s time, I guess I technically could have left the property by climbing over the back fence, into the neighbor’s yard and sneaking away without getting noticed / shot.
My wife and two kids have been home too, so they could vouch for me. But that’s it.

Lucky for me, that’s just when I was on a zoom meeting with about 20 fellow board members of a land conservancy/trust, with videos-on interactions throughout. It may have even been recorded, but either way there you have a bunch of witnesses, plus the minutes.
But if the OP had specified Tuesday night, I’d have to rely on Mrs. Map and Lil’ Map’s testimonies.

I think I’m in decent shape. I spent the first half of that window having dinner at Popeyes and spent the second half of that window at the office. Security cameras at both places should bear that out.

I’d be screwed, I can’t remember what I did two days ago without checking meta data on a few different platforms. But I DO have a text from a friend on Jan 23 reminding me he has my other shotgun barrel and the chokes, and me responding that he would probably like the rest of the gun to go with that gear. Followed by him inviting me over for beers, reuniting the gun parts, and that the new size 13 hiking boots I’m trying to get rid of are too big for him. Pretty sure the cops would have a great time with that conversation.
