For example, I’ve been; listening to a lot of Irish radio stations lately. Each time they give an Internet address, it ends in “.ie” (for Eire) and I immediately think of Hadji in Jonny Quest going “AIEEE, JONNY!” What (if anything) does it for you? 🤨 ---

My wife is a big reader of ingredients. When we’re at the grocery store she’ll sometimes ask me what’s in something and I’ll say “It’s…Polish chemicals”. I may well be the only person to take catchphrases from _Fifteen Storeys High_ but it amuses me. Also, I’m still sad about Sean Lock. ---

My first thought was “surely”, but that’s common. At the beginning of Law and Order they usually end the opening with a humorous quip. On one they found the murder weapon which was a trophy. Lennie said something like, “they should have given her a plaque”. Whenever there is a trophy, plaque, or even plaque psoriasis, I will give a variation of the Law and Order line. I adjust it based on the circumstance. ---

There are a lot of Malcolm Tucker quotes that have worked their way into my vernacular. An exasperating situation usually elicits a “Christ on a bendy bus…” from me. When I met Peter Capaldi I told him this, and he wrote it on the headshot he was autographing. We curse a lot at my office, which can take newbies by surprise. After we ended a conference call one day, I said to my long-time boss, about the dingbat security manager who’d been running the call, “Well he’s as useless as a marzipan dildo.” and the new guy in our office had a look on his face like, okay things are different here. ---
