I myself robotically repeat “the grea’er good” when someone else says it. However… quoting isn’t a substitute for good conversation, and if you rely on quotations for your humour or quote too much and get mystified glances in return, you may want to rethink your approach. It’s a pet peeve of mine, since my partner quotes so often that I’ve had to ask him to stop so we can actually have a real conversation instead of just talking about why he quoted something and where it was from. ---
