Yup - my husband and I both have “the eye.” Our basement would drive you ultra-straighteners crazy, too - it was renovated by, we suspect, do-it-yourself amateurs or very, very bad professionals, with no 90 degree angles in it. It sort of looks like a Dr. Seuss house.
Ayup. I don’t know that I’m as exact as some of you folks, but I do my part for straightness and twiddling with pictures.
I suppose it depends how off it is. I consider myself good at eyeballing that type of thing, but not a wunderkind…

I can, with better than 75% accuracy, tell immediately if a picture is even as little as 20 or 30 degrees crooked.
Not any more. About twenty years ago, I looked up during a racquetball game, and the room looked slightly inflated, pillowed. I asked my eye doc, and he said I had moved into such an extreme prescrption that I’d have to accept that effect. I can’t see straight lines. I have 5 kinds of levels, but when I have to eyeball a long line, I need an assistant. I have a line level, but setting up the stakes and string is a hassle. I’ll spring for a laser someday.
