Do you have the following gadgets in your kitchen?

Great googily moogily, this list is huge now.

  1. GRAPEFRUIT KNIFE - No. Not even sure what this is.

  2. TEA INFUSER - Nope.

  3. CITRUS JUICER (non-electric) - Yeah, and I use it constantly. We always keep a bag of lemons around so we can have fresh lemon juice when called for in recipes. It’s nice.

  4. GARLIC PRESS - Yes, and again use it constantly, mostly for adding garlic to soups and stews.

  5. APPLE PEELER/CORER - No, unless a sharp knife counts.

  6. MEAT THERMOMETER - Yes, used frequently.

  7. CANDY THERMOMETER- Yes. Occasionally used for candymaking, but mostly used for breadmaking (ensuring the water for the yeast is at 110 degrees) and soapmaking.

  8. SIEVE/SIFTER - Yeah. We have two. I use one as a colander for mac & cheese a lot.

  9. BOX GRATER - But of course.

  10. BASTER - Yep, used for basting.

  11. HAND CRANKED CHEESE GRATER - What is this? We don’t have one.

  12. BAR SET - Nope.

  13. Spaghetti spoon - Yes, used occasionally.

  14. Oven rack puller - Nope.

  15. Pizza stone - Yes, used every time we make pizza, which is about once every two months.

  16. Salad spinner - Yes, although rarely used these days.

  17. Whisk - Definitely. We have a standard balloon whisk and a “spiraling shape” whisk.

  18. a mandoline - No, they scare me.

  19. citrus flute - No.

  20. dumpling press - No.

  21. ginger grater - No.

  22. Itallian poultry shears - No.

  23. cheese plane - No.

  24. grapefruit spoons - No.

  25. miniature spoons and forks - Do kids’ baby spoons count? If not, then no.

  26. rice paddle - No

  27. cake needle - No.

  28. olive spoon - No.

  29. shrimp picks - No.

  30. lobster crackers - No.

  31. citrus zester - Yes, it’s a microplane zester and I love it. Before I got it as a gift, I never used zest in recipes, because I couldn’t keep the pith out. With this thing, zesting is a snap. And yes, I know I sound like a commercial.

  32. cake decorating tips set - Yep. Used… never, as far as I know.

  33. ice pick - No.

  34. toast tongs - Nope.

  35. cherry/olive pitter - No.

  36. rolling pin cover - Yeah, we have a homemade one that MrWhatsit made out of cheesecloth.

  37. stir-fry paddles - No.
