I don’t keep a journal, but I still have a book of poetry I wrote in college, over 50 years ago. Haven’t read it in over 40 years.
Yes. No. Maybe. Sometimes. Depends. I’ve kept occasional and travel journals, and now post odd whats-happening notes at another site, and throw certain memorable ideas into NOTES files. But nothing constant or reliable.
I’ve kept a journal since 1995. (I tried to keep a diary when I was nine or so, but gave up.) It’s helpful for knowing what to say in my weekly letters to family members.
