# Do you know this 1960s BBC TV children's show?

Zebedee Pepys, maybe. The one from TMR famously had “_Time for_ bed” as his signature line.

I remember Gary Halliday … not so much from the series, as from the accompanying books - I think they were novelizations, I have a vague feeling there were six of them (can only remember the title of one, _Gary Halliday and the Sands of Time_).
Can’t remember who wrote them, either. It was all a long time ago.

**Kal’s** link says “The episodes were closely based on the books by Justin Blake.”
Justin Blake seems to be a pen name of John Bowen, and the books were:
Garry Halliday and the Disappearing Diamonds. Faber, 1960
Garry Halliday and the Ray of Death. Faber, 1961
Garry Halliday and the Kidnapped Five. Faber, 1962
Garry Halliday and the Sands of Time. Faber, 1963
Garry Halliday and the Flying Foxes. Faber, 1965

I had a Magic Roundabout roundabout - the coolest thing ever. It was a foot tall, plastic and span round, is all I remember. When my daughter was born my mum tried to find one for her, but not even ebay could help. Oh the humanity.
