On Jeopardy! today, one of the clues was “Ernie Bushmiller created this comic strip character seen [here](http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/0f/32/0e/0f320ea0b0028b04b811cb6b7dd95395.jpg).” To my surprise, not one of the contestants even attempted to come up with the correct question. I thought this character was widely known. Without Googling, how many of you recognize this character? Of course, the character is Nancy. ---

I recognized her no problem. But I am older. 😃 I wouldn’t expect people under 40, or even 50, to be familiar with her. Why would they be? ---

I recognized it. I’m 38. That comic strip appeared in the Sunday paper until I was 10 or 15. ---

Although it’s not as popular today as it once was, it still runs in newspapers and is internationally popular. There have been Nancy comic books and animated cartoons. I would think most adults would be familiar with Nancy (and Sluggo). ---
