Yes. It varies quite a bit - upper number goes from 90 to 120 - but is usually around 110/60. I am in an exercise class three times a week and they take my blood pressure.
25 mg hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic
20 mg lisinopril, an ACE inhibiter
What was the diagnosis for the really high pulse and BP? Do you remember the term they used when they checked your heart rhythm?
High pulse is trycacardia (sp)
That combo cut 50/30 off your blood pressure? that is pretty impressive, I think the average is only a 20-30 point drop at most on that combo. I’m on those drugs too (12.5/10), and they don’t work nearly as well. Plus I started a calcium channel blocker.
Mine has never been high, but since I started running, it’s gotten even better. When I was at the endocrinologist last month, it was 110/60.
Had mine taken yesterday. 86/62. (near death??)
110/60, which was standard for me even before I started on a beta blocker for my tremor. (beta blockers also lower BP). When I was on Remicade, the infusion did tend to drop me down to about 95/50 for a while, but since I felt fine otherwise (no dizziness) the infusion center nurses usually gave me a Diet Coke and let me drive home. Apparently, Remicade can do that. Now I’m on Simponi and doing great.
Came down with CHF a little over a year ago. Cardiologist referred me to another specialist, 250 miles away, for a stress test. Went to said appointment. Blood pressure 60/52. They refused to do the stress test, adjusted my B.P. meds’ doses, sent me home. I was not happy, and I let my cardiologist know it. I know possess a sphygmomanometer- pressure ranges from 95/65 to 120/75.
“Now possess”, that is-
