I’m really going to enjoy my ceremony of induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame, as soon as the Veterans Committee gets around to voting me in. ---

I was in the college band so I saw three years of very long commencement ceremonies. The best part of that is there was a built-in cheering section when you walked across the stage. Now I teach at a college and get to see commencement ceremonies every year. They’re more meaningful when it’s my students graduating. I’ve been to a couple ordinations for RCC priests. They’re kind of long but kind of cool in that you usually don’t get to watch ordinations. ---

The only ceremony I like is the **Tokyo Disney Resort** [Ambassador Inauguration](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M35Nd5bmcxM). The 10-minute used to take place on the morning of January 1st at Tokyo Disneyland. I would make it a point to wait two hours in line in order to see this event. However, now the ceremony takes place 30 minutes after midnight on New Year’s Eve. ☹ ---

Hate them, myself. The least-objectionable one in which I was directly involved was my college graduation. No caps or gowns, no lining up to get a diploma and shake hands. Just a short speech of congratulations and best wishes for the future (translation: “thanks for the money, now get lost”).
