At the risk of giving the impression that I have a one-track mind, I’m starting another thread about sex. This weekend, in a moment of boredom, I started thinking about my recent deflowering. The foreplay part was brief: a bit of fondling, a quick insertion of fingers, and no kissing. But I did enjoy the actual intercourse part of sex a lot more than I thought I would have. Up until then I had looked forward to foreplay and dreaded the actual unleashing of the penis, but now I realize that sex as a whole is pretty enjoyable. But what about you fine folks? Is the kissing/fondling/groping/licking/tearing clothes off the most enjoyable part of a sexual encounter, or is the insertion/thrusting part more ultimately satisfying? I’m talking here about straight vaginal intercourse, but feel free to answer regarding homosexual or any other kind of encounters. ---

39 year old male. Intercourse is much more intense pleasure but I really, really like a lot of foreplay. It’s long, drawn-out fun. I dated a girl who didn’t seem to have much use for foreplay. A little kissing and straight to the boinking. Kind of a turnoff for me. ---

35yo male likes some extended makeout the best. Girls are always trying to jump straight to the insertion. Foreplay. The anticipation, the closeness, the kissing and stroking and so on . . . intercourse is fine, but foreplay is FUN. ---

I enjoy either, but preferably both. My partner and I have built a dungeon in the attic, and we can play up there for hours, without any actual orgasm taking place. Or at other times we can just do a “quickie.” It’s all good. ---

Depends on my mood. Foreplay is fun and enjoyable, but for me the best part is the actual intercourse. Nothing compares to that feeling. The “unleashing of the penis” (phrase makes me laugh btw) is my favorite part. More please! 😉 ---

Either this is a funny typo or I’m completely missing your point. I wouldn’t mind if our foreplay went on for longer than it usually does- my wife gets charged up pretty quickly and hops aboard early. However, since our lovemaking opportunities are somewhat limited, living as we do with two young kids who have been known to wake up at the most inopportune times, we usually don’t have the luxury of long, drawn-out foreplay sessions.
