# Do you like happy endings?

Several weeks ago a couple here in my city lost their dog. As many have done they put up posters and offered a reward. But they didn’t give up hope after a couple of weeks went by. They put up more posters, and got others to help. There must have been several hundred because I would see them everywhere. On Oct. 3 I and my dog attended a Blessing of the Animals service, and there was a public announcement made of an organized search for the dog that would go on that weekend. The doggies people were nothing if not determined because they had had many reported sightings of their lost pet.

Last night it made the TV news, because the dog was found! A woman saw the dog, and although it seemed nervous managed to coax it over and get hold of it. Then she called the ecstatic owners and somehow the TV people got hold of it.

God, I love a happy ending, especially one like this, that so often turns out sad. Got any other happy ending stories?
