No. Too loud, for too long, and I will have to leave before I start to cry. I just can’t take the noise. When I’m the only one in the house sometimes (very occasionally) I will turn up the volume, but that usually gets it to about the same level the rest of the family uses normally. ---

You’re my kind of (guy? gal?) Doper. 🆒 My hearing is pretty bad, so I turn my music up pretty loud anymore so I can hear it. On the flip side, I like to hear what folks say to me, so if I’m going to have a conversation I don’t like extraneous noise. And the bass absolutely _must_ rumble, but it can’t be distorted. Everything has to be mixed well, or it all sounds like shit. (FTR, this applies to rock, classical, everything, not just rap.) ---

Yes. Loud. Bass is wonderful, with no distortion like said above. I don’t like it if the highs are up too high though, that hurts my ears. ---

If I’m listening to classical music at home I like it at a reasonable level,if I’m listening to music at a rave I like it incredibly loud. ---

I have permanently diminished hearing due to parking my ass next to a huge speaker at a concert when I was a kid. No, I’m not crazy about loud music. My brother’s guitar player used to wear a t-shirt that said, “Rock’s Gotta Be Loud”, but if it’s so loud you can’t hear the nuances, it’s rather pointless, in my opinion. ---

To me, there’s a difference between loud and painful. Some things need the volume turned up - you can’t listen to the 1812 Overture on 2. But it doesn’t need to rattle the windows either. And in public places, if you have to yell to be heard, it’s too loud. I hate live performances where it’s so loud you can’t hear yourself think. I was part of an arts and craft show and a band was performing at the proverbial dial position of 11. I wasn’t even sitting that close to them, and it annoyed me. Of course, I’m an old grouch, so there’s that to consider. But even when I was a teen, I hated towering speakers and bass that I felt in my bones. ---

Tonight I went out to see _Public Enemy_. When I was down front about 20 feet from Chuck D (Flavor Flav missed the show due to United) I was impressed how the sound waves from the PA tugged at my clothes and rattled my interior. So tonight yeah. But a few weeks ago a group of us went to a Greek restaurant. The music was so loud we couldn’t talk. I suggested to the waiter that he disable the speaker near our table or we would have to go without ordering. He politely complied. So that lunchtime no. ---

I can’t stand loud music, mostly because I’m very deaf in my left ear—the deafness isn’t music related. But the deafness causes me to miss much of what is being played and a combination of music and conversation is all but impossible. ---

I like to crank it up around the house when I’m listening to something I really like. Moreso if I’ve been drinking. In the truck too (no drinking there) I hate movie theaters when it’s too loud.
