My favorite part of bread is the crust. When slicing a loaf of bread, I will cut the heels off and eat them on the spot so no one else can have them
“Pizza bones,” (the dry edges of the crust) too. As a child I wouldn’t touch the part with sauce/cheese but I’d eat as many crusty edges as I could steal from everyone else.

depends on the bread. some are more crustilicious than other; french is good, rye which is a superior bread type not as good for the ends sometimes.
for those that like crusts then there is the bagel.
I love the top crust, the part that’s exposed when it bakes. Not so much the bottom, but I eat it anyway.
The crust is absolutely the best part of the loaf. The more, the better. The crunchier, the better.
Sandwich types of breads, I don’t like the crusts. Breads that you eat plain, like the bread at a restaurant before dinner, I like the crusts.
