Welcome, by the way. Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Thank you. 🙂 I’ve been reading since January last year, it’s just recently that I bothered to register. Once I dig up a credit card, I’ll be subscribing.

Good to hear. Make yourself known in MPSIMS if you want a “proper” welcoming party…

Let us know who you are and what your interests are.

Do you like seafood? What about smallish-sized farm animals with horns?

Why do I ask? No reason…just…you know…go on…into that room there…_nudge_

Some people (Tim Berners-Lee) tend to think it doesn’t even exist. [Wikipedia article](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2.0).

Put me in with this camp. While some of the “Web 2.0” tricks are nice, how does a blog post differ significantly from a GeoCities page with a guestbook attached to it.

Yes, Web 2.0 standards and programming tricks made the process to create those pages more streamlined, but to act like it’s some special trick, and not the common upgrade cycle found in all software, is the biggest marketing scam in history.

I could create a lengthy pit thread detailing some of the Web 2.0 arguments I’ve gotten into, but I don’t think it’s even worth that.
