# Do you log out of Facebook?

I log out on my laptop because my son uses it as well. I never log out on my phone or my iPad.

This. Every time I walk away from the computer, I close my browser and have everything set to not remember who I am.

Which FB IGNORES every once in a while and remembers me anyway.

I haven’t had to log out of anything for about 4 years now (since I live alone and am the only one using this computer).

[Funny that no one has brought up this, from the WSJ.](http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2011/09/26/facebook-defends-getting-data-from-logged-out-users/)

Facebook on Monday defended its practice of gathering data from “Like” buttons **even after users have logged out** , saying that the collection is part of a system to prevent improper logins and that not all of the data is logged. [emphasis added]

Does that change anyone’s mind? Or is it futile to resist Facebook?
