ARRGGHH! My father-in-law borrowed my Nikon CoolPix 2500 and totally f\*cked up the settings! I can’t fix it, since I no longer can find the instruction manual! ARRGH!

Plus, the Nikon site doesn’t have this book on download! Double ARRGGH! I tried to order, it, no luck there either.

So now I’m praying someone here can help me.

If you have the instruction book for the camera, I will pay you $20 for a copy. Plus copying costs. Or $20 if you just scan in the pages, especially the setting ones.

The most important thing I need changed today though, is a specific setting. If you can even tell me how to change it, that would rock.

What needs to be changed:
On the “scene” menu, where it has “portrait,” “indoor party,” “museum,” etc. settings, there is the “OFF” setting. When on “OFF” it is on “M”. where I’d like it to be on “A.” Do you know how to fix it? I hope my description is clear.

ARRGGH! SO FRUSTRATED!!! HELP!!!

This appears to have the manual you require [on line.](http://www.livemanuals.com/catalog/productsList.cfm?s0=&pfn=Digital%20Camera&pfid=38&cnn=Photography&mfid=297&mfn=Nikon&category=3&stype=1)

I suspect if you remove the batteries _and_ the backup battery, and let it sit for an hour or so before reinstalling batteries it will probably reset to the factory default settings the way you got it.

Apparently, that’s what my father-in-law did. The default settings blow syphlictic monkeys. I want my happy settings back.
