I believe it is a continuation, a calendaric continuity, which is also the perpetuation of this epoch. I divine that many lives will maintain their current trajectories due to a sort of existential inertia. Overall a pretty standard thing. Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war! ---

Not that they’ve said anything to me about it. We’re having an end-of-the-world lunch here at work Friday. I’ve been tasked with providing something on the order of a death by chocolate dessert. Any suggestions? Hopefully the end won’t occur before lunch. ---

It’s also quite amusing; watching people too polite to lick the bowls try to scrape very bit out with a teaspoon. I made some with Splenda, and you could hardly taste the nasty sweetner taste behind the chocolate. If you have a Trader Joe’s nearby that has the 72% Valrhona bars, those works really well. ---

For a water bath, set your ramekins in a roasting pan deep enough that you can add enough water to come up about half way up the sides of the ramekins. Easy peasy. You may now return to your regular scheduled programming. ---

My world can’t end on Friday the 21st, because that’s already booked for Thursday the 20th at 4PM Eastern Standard Time. That’s when the college releases my official first-term marks. 🙂 ---
