I have to admit, I find it kind of odd when I go into someone’s house and they have numerous pictures of themselves displayed. It seems sort of - narcissitic, ya know? ---

I have a picture of me and my sister on the wall, and then another picture of my advisor robing me during my graduation ceremony. In my bedroom, I have a collage I made using random photos of my family. I’m in a lot of them. But there are no pictures of me alone. ---

I have a few family portraits on a cabinet in the living room that have me in them, but none that are only me. My desktop wallpaper at home is a shot that **Cerowyn** took of me with a musician I really like. Actually, I just remembered one shot of me that I keep: it’s a photo of me at the beach in a bathing suit that I keep out as a reminder to lay off the chips. ---

No. I have a few of The Nephew and one of The Bros. In my wallet I carry ID pics of Mom, Dad, SiL and the Bros. If I want to see me, I just look in the mirror… hi, me! ---

My wife insists of populating our house with photos and portraits of us and our two sons and their wives. I wouldn’t mind a “rogue’s gallery” in a hallway or in the dining room where family members are shown off – it helps identify people when telling family tales to guests, etc. But I see myself, in various stages of weight gain and loss, all over the damn house. Drives me crazy. ---

I’ve got a framed photo of my brother and I at his college graduation (gosh, that was 17 years ago, I’m getting old) and another photo of a friend and I in a double scull. Both of those ate small 5"x7" photos. I’ve also got a large poster sized (2’x3’) montage of me with various team mates that the above friend made for me for a surprise birthday party. Can’t really count that one as vanity since it has multiple unflattering shots of me exiting port-a-johns… :smack: ---

[/QUOTE] I was an only child, and not only do I not have any pictures of myself on my walls, I don’t think my parents ever put up any pictures of me, or indeed, took any pictures past the age of three. I guess I used to get school portraits once a year, but those were sent out with Christmas cards or something. I think I’ve creeped out more than one young lady by _not_ having baby pictures or a photo album. So much for normality. Stranger ---

I have one my brother took in 1972(ish) of me and my Golden Retriever, having a conversation of sorts. I keep it because I loved that dog and have no digitized pictures of him. I also keep it because it amuses me to see myself in full hippie regalia. ---

I have a rogue’s gallery like \*\*Sunrazor \*\* mentioned, and I’m in at least one of those with my sons. Other than that, a friend started me on the tradition of hanging a picture of myself with hunting trophies near the taxidermied mounts. I only have one of those pictures up; need to get some more printed up. ---

Did your parents supplement the family when you were grown or something? ---

I hate pictures of me. Any pictures of me, I flip face down when I notice they’re upright. There’s a picture of me outside of my cube at work, but it was because I took the picture with this gal from work and she insisted it go up on my cube. I just blocked my half out and left the pretty side. ---

Prolly a big dosage of each with a helping of delusional wonderment and a dash of self absorbtion of themselves. “Look at me, Aren’t I Fantastic!!!1111!!” This coming for a woman who wants The Bikini Picture taken when I was 21 run as my picture in the Obits. The camera hates me. Oh, there’s some good photos but the majority are not. I’m with Mark Twain on the [subject of photos](http://www.twainquotes.com/18660905.html) I’m an art fan and have quite a few pieces up. I did have a photo montage of friends and family and I’m in a couple of them but that’s in storage someplace. I also had a cat montage - also in storage. When I rescue my possessions, I’ll likely put those up again but these days I’d more want to put some of my better landscape photos up (no, sorry, haven’t got any online photo account going yet - it’s on my ‘gotta do one of these days’ list). ---

I don’t have any of just me, but I have several framed of me with other people. A bunch of me with my little cousin, because he tends to magnetize towards the camera, and I’m often trapped in the picture if I’m holding him… ---

I think there are 2 pictures hanging in our home with me in them. One is from before my wife and I got married 21 years ago. I think one of us had a bank account that offered a free portrait or something, so we put on some nice clothes and had our picture taken. We look so young… It is one of 3 pics in the upstairs hallway - the other 2 are of our 3 kids. The other pic with me in it is from earlier. The year between college and law school I was doing odd jobs, playing in a band, and basically starving. I’d just gotten a puppy and used to take him out for bike rides with me, just lying across my arm. One day I was riding around putting up posters for a show, and some guy took our picture. Turns out he was with the local paper, which ran the photo the next day. I stopped by afterwards and they gave me the original. A nice black and white reminder of very different times. At work I have a whole mess of photos and crap tacked to a bulletin board, including a couple of shots of me working out doing martial arts with various folks, a shot of my stomach from an endoscopy, and a shot of the inside of my knee from my arthroscopy.
