Any thoughts on GMAC Bank or Citi Bank? Both are offering attractive APY’s. GMAC advertises their instantaneous electronic transfers. According to some research I did on the Motley Fool boards, HSBC suffers from slow transfers. Citi seems attractive because it shows up first on this list of top online banks. Incidentally, HSBC appears 4th on this list.
I’ve had no problems with any of my Citibank accounts or credit cards.
Well, actually, I have had one problem. I forgot I had a secret word, so the website wouldn’t let me change my address on any of my cards. Nine minutes on the phone, everything had the correct address, and the very polite, professional CSR didn’t even try to sell me any credit protection crap.
