Do you shave with a straight razor?

Is driving a car with a manual transmission ‘stunt driving’?

Like driving a stick, using a straight razor trades convenience for control. It is that simple. Some people prefer a straight razor enough to make stropping, honing and keeping steady hands an acceptable trade off. And you never have to buy refill blades.

Along with all that however, the responsibility for a sharp blade and close shave lies solely with you. There is no King Gillette in charge to rely on or complain to.

I own a straight razor and use it about once a week. It is simply another option that I sometimes get in the mood for. It has nothing to do with how hairy my balls are and I don’t care what people think of me either way. Most people don’t even know I own one.

I have to say that it was nice being pampered in a place where testosterone, cigars, and scotch ruled. That was definitely part of the appeal, and it’s treatment that you don’t get at Supercuts.

Right, I own one and have shaved with it, but there’s no point anymore. It’s hwaaaaay more dangers, not as close and quite a bit of maintenence.

You can buy one on ebay or other places. You should try one at least once.

It is true that a barber shave is an experience one should try.

No straight razor, but I do use a DE Safety Razor. I could afford the original Mach 3s, I reluctantly held on when they went to the “Turbo,”, but now that the “POWER” cartrages are $38 for a pack of only SIXTEEN at CostCo, I put my foot down.

Took $100 to get started and if it weren’t for my insatiable need to try new stuff I’d probably still be on my original $100 worth of stuff now a year and a half later. As it was, I spent ANOTHER $100 last year and now have roughly 5 tubs of shaving soap sitting here on my computer table. This will last me years.
