I can’t stand when I step on a melted gum wad. Personally, I tend to stick it to something if a trash can is not available (like the underside of a desk or an elevator button) On the flipside, my fiance likes to swallow, although she says it tastes funny. 🙂 ---

I swallow, but I also tend to be a chain-chewer. Each piece lasts me no more than 5 minutes, and I’m on to the next one. This creates a problem with ‘gumming up the works’, so to speak, so I don’t chew gum very often, or only when someone offers me a piece and I’m too polite to ask for more. Left to my own devices with unlimited supply, I could seriously injure myself. My momma taught me the only thing it’s polite to spit out is toothpaste. I learned the corrollary myself: Don’t put anything in your mouth if you’re not prepared to swallow it.
