Of course it’s cherry picking, but Castro isn’t writing a thesis, he’s showing who supports Trump. But, for this thread, it’s not Castro’s framing of this issue which matters, it’s the _Republican reaction_ to such a heretofore benign revelation. 1783-2016: Oh, the billionaire owner of a regional restaurant chain in Texas supports the conservative/republican nominee for President? And… so? 2019: How dare you reveal that the billionaire owner of a regional restaurant chain in Texas supports the conservative/republican nominee for President! In a thread asking the question “will DJT win in 2020”, this negative reaction to being publicly identified as a Trump supporter is very telling for this topic. ---

The only way I see the Hoosier State going blue is if the economy is as bad as it was 2008. While I am confident the GOP is going to take the economy, that may take a couple of years. ---

I don’t think the Democrats have a chance to win Indiana, and although that would be nice, I don’t think they must. I think they have to win Wisconsin. If Wisconsin goes Trump again, I think the results could be just like last time. IE The majority of voters going against Trump, but Trump eeking out electoral votes. ---

When Texas Republicans freak out about the public finding out they support the Republican President, perhaps we can just assume that while they don’t want to _self-identify_ as fascists, they are well aware that other people will do so for them if their support is highlighted. Just a theory. Right? But I’m still trying to figure out why one of the major political parties is having a meltdown when it realizes that anyone can be identified as having financially supported the party leader. Makes ya’ wonder. ---
