I used to frequent a little neighborhood bar. Another regular was a big bald construction worker/contactor. He had a little poodle that was maybe 4 pounds. My cats were bigger than this dog. The dog (Teddy) went everywhere with Mike, including work and the bar. The bar owners lived upstairs and Teddy would get put up there to play with their dogs. Sometimes when there was only a few of us regulars there Teddy was allowed to hang out in the bar. And sometimes on the bar, wandering from person to person for ear scratches. More than once he snarfed some beer from a picture. We would laugh and of course finish the beer. And FYI, it doesn’t take much beer to make a tiny dog pass out. ---

I keep my glass covered because I have one cat who loves to sample. She doesn’t put paws or limbs in the glass, just her little pink tongue, which I have seen far too often cleaning parts I’d rather not come in contact with, even indirectly. I just pop a postcard over it when I’m not in knocking away range. So far she hasn’t been smart enough to figure out how to swipe that card off. ---

If my dogs get tired, I take my shoes off and let them rest just about anywhere, but i don’t think I’ve ever accidentally put them in my drink. ---

If I am having my morning coffee in the car and the chihuahua slips and gets her paw in it. I still drink it, I try not to think about it because if I did I couldn’t drink it. ---

How hot was the tea? Which limb was it? Do you trust the animal? How healthy are you? How healthy is your animal/pet? I guess my answer is "maybe; it depends. . . " ---

Hell, if I’m drinking milk, I usually offer my nearby cats a swig out of my glass. Makes 'em like me more. Once cats take over the world, they’ll remember who gave of their food freely, without repugnance. Those humans will be given cushy gigs as massage givers, instead of toiling their lives away in the cat litter mines. ---
