I’m the son of two nurses. I’ve never been able to get away with being whiny about anything. I’m pretty blasé about most of the things likely to happen to me. I tend to analyze things instead of getting emotional about them and illness is just another problem. ---

I admit, I get whiny when I’m sick or when I have a migraine. I don’t necessarily want people to do things for me constantly, I just…get whiny. 😃 ---

I normally take care of everyone else, so when I do get sick myself I’m an enormously whiny baby. I don’t mind being waited on 24/7, preferrably with an unending stream of tea, nummies and pats on the head. I’ll take any attention the rest of you don’t want. ---

I don’t think I’m a whiny babt, but my wife says I am. She however becomes the bitch queen from Hell when she’s sick. The only time I think I was really bad was after I had surgery to remove half of my thyroid. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort though, and I think I was only whiny for the first day after surgery. In my own defense, surgery was a new and scary experience for me, especially when the reason was to make sure I didn’t die from thyroid cancer. My wide always says I was a whiny little beeyotch one time when I had a bad flu. My temp was like 104, and I asked her to take me to the clinic. She didn’t and yeah, I lived, but man, I thought I was going to die I felt so bad. I always trell her if I had died I would haunt her for the rest of her life as a pretty pissed off ghost. I guess you could write “I told ya I was sick!” on my tombstone. 🙂 ---

My husband turns into a whiny baby when he’s sick, and wants to be waited on hand and foot. Me, I want to be left alone. I do get a little whiny, particularly if I’m at work when I’m feeling really sick, and I tend to want my mommy, which is weird because she never babied us when we were sick, but mostly I want to be left alone. Don’t bring me tea at 3 a.m. Don’t make me eat when I can’t breathe. Don’t come in every 5 minutes to update me on the weather or politics. Just let me be.
