Do you use the term "beer dock"?

South eastern Wisconsin. (Born 1960) Beer Depot is all I ever heard in exchange for liquor store.

I was in my 30’s before I ever heard someone use the term “package shop” in the south for a liquor store.

To clarify, Ohio is one of the ABC states, so “bonded” here is probably a crucial word, but non-ABC states have weird laws too. Like in Florida, you could not buy liquor in the grocery store, but every one I went to had a liquor store next door, just had an exterior door. And New Jersey has (had?) some limitations to chains selling liquor in every store. But these states don’t have state control of the stores, including pricing limitations beyond tax. And laws like hour limitations or dry counties or even Sunday blue laws (that last one is mostly going away) can be state laws but not state control.

Almost zero laws where I’m from though I’ve travelled. Even the one that’s “supposed” to exist according to both AI searches and law sites that there’s some limit on grain alcohol ABV/proof doesn’t seem to exist considering you can buy near-asymptote Everclear (95.0% I think, close to 95.6%) at national chains like Total Wine.

lifelong denizen of Ohio here. Of course Ohio has standalone liquor stores. Not sure what Chronos was thinking. I frequent them quite often. here is a list: https://www.ohlq.com/locations
