I use Yahoo Answers whenever I’m getting too optimistic about the future of humanity. Reading a few questions and answers there reminds me that we’re really stupid monkeys, half a generation away from literal poo-flinging. More seriously - I have been an Answerer there at some times. It’s good practice for being a nurse. I do the same here, except that there I have to “dumb down” my answers even more, because there are literally people asking questions there who don’t know how babies are made. Since I’ll presumably be responsible for those or similar people’s health care at some point, it’s a good training ground to find out what I know how to explain well and what I need to improve on. I don’t think I’ve ever asked a question there, though. I could be wrong about that, but if I have, it’s been so long that I’ve forgotten it. This place is far superior for good questions and good answers both. ---

I wouldn’t use them for research, but I’ve been answering questions on there a lot recently, especially questions about relationships. ---

I tried to, but I got annoyed constantly finding answered questions that a sixth grader should know were wrong and not being able to do anything to fix it. I did recently sign up again so I could post a question raised in GD to a less liberal audience. Unfortunately, I’ive already forgotten what the question was about, or what my Yahoo ID was. ---

If Yahoo pops up when I Google, I may look, but never consider the answer as credible. Rarely, you can tell from the answer that the writer has some background and the answer may be true. ---
