# Do you use your username anywhere else?

Reading over the thread **usernames… vote most/least original** started by **ssskuggiii** and admiring all of the various and unusual names people use here, I couldn’t help but wonder if folks use their names anywhere else? I’m **Baglady** because I’m “Baglady” everywhere else. But some folks, like **Swimming Riddles** – is that your _NORMAL_ nickname? Do you use it for other discussion boards or lists?

Phobos is my cybername. I don’t leave realtime without it.
I don’t use it anywhere else. But maybe I should. Maybe we should all use our SD names as vanity plates on our cars.

Nope. I’m only **vandal** here. I like to have different names for everything - AIM, ICQ, other MBs/communities, email addresses, etc. - I get tired of seeing the same name everywhere.

I use this name on the snopes Board, on certain interactive websites, and I post on usenet with it (though that’s rare). I also recently joined the Fathom Board with this name.
I feel more comfortable posting if I don’t have to worry about people I know (like from work) randomly surfing and finding it, or doing a search on my real name in Deja.

Never had a nickname, and at this late stage I don’t want one.

I use this one on Fathom, but that’s it. My IRL nickname is just my last name, and I use it on Snopes, IFSJA, and others. It was already taken here.

Are you saying that CalMeacham is your real name? I thought you were taking the name from one of the main characters in the movie _This Island Earth_, an MST3K favorite.

Vandal, read the thread title and my reply again. Take deep breaths.
I DID take “CalMeacham” from TIE. I only use it here, so people won’t mistake me for Rex Reason. Elsewhere, like in Stately Wilk Manor, I use my real name.

I use whatever is on my mind at the time. When I created my account here, I was finishing up a song I had written, and my username came from the chorus (see my sig). I’m not a particularly ironic person; I just thought it sounded cooler than King of Futility.
Not too active on any boards but this one, so I really don’t have much use for a pseudonym anywhere else.

I use this whereever I go, although sometimes Zyada is already taken (then I add TX to my alias)
I also use it IRL as my stage name, so I even get called Zyada by friends.

I use this one only here except when I’m RPing I use it sometimes (one of my characters is named this but I rarely play her) I used to go to Chick Click but I find this place more interesting. There I was Fireflaw. I have several nicknames and actually only one I get called irl sometimes.

Maybe I’m just full of myself (or maybe I just have a bad memory), but most every place I go, if I don’t use my real name (Kathery), then I use Gr8Kat. My AOL screenname is gr8kat1 because \ there was already a gr8kat. But, as I said in the Most Original/Least Original thread, my name ain’t original.
