I occasionally have to wipe my cat’s stinker. I can tell when he comes out of the litterbox discombobulated, and if I don’t wipe him, he’ll soon do the carpet scootch. He gets a bit indignant about it and gives me the stinkeye, but better the stinkeye than the stinkhole. ---

Never wiped, but I did have to pull out some cloth that he had eaten. It was half in and half out. Not pleasant. ---

Only when she has dried poo stuck to her hair, then I use a wet wipe ---

I don’t do it for either the dog or the cat now, but I had this Boston terrier who had Irritable Bowel Disease. If you are a human and have had IBD, you know the poor fella couldn’t really control it. He had to be wiped most of the time, but I just used cheap baby diaper wipes, which are really useful for all sorts of things. ---

zombie or no i saw a lady do that to her dog. she drove the car with dog to somebody’s lawn. had the dog shit and left the turd. wiped the dogs ass before letting it back into the car. ---

I have a long-haired cat who occasionally gets poo-ey bum. Eh, wipe and move on. There are worse things in life. ---

I sometimes do a test-wipe of my cat if I happen to see that she just made a messy deposit because I don’t want her making buttprints on the bed. But the tissue always comes back clean. I don’t know how she does it. She’s never coughed up a hairball in her entire 6 years either. ---

Yes, My little guy pees on his front legs so I started wiping off his legs and just progressed from there. I keep baby wipes by the front door and he knows to wait to get wiped off.🙂 ---

Rarely ever. Occasionally have to clean the cats too, but in both cases it’s usually only when they’re sick, been ran over, etc. I view it as no different than cleaning up a baby. ---

I have never had to wipe any butts and hope it never becomes necessary. I practically don a haz mat suit just to clean the box every day. ---

Sadie’s a Goldendoodle with lots of hair. When her poop isn’t solid, just wiping her butt isn’t enough. In summer we can take care of it outside with the garden hose. Last time it happened, it was cold, so we used the doggy washing station at the vet’s office. Even then the hose wasn’t enough. Good thing I thought to take some disposable rubber gloves. She’s almost three and so far, we’ve only had to do this a few times, thank heaven. So no, we don’t make a practice of wiping her butt. We do wash her girly bits if she smells less than fresh. She rarely licks herself – probably doesn’t like all that hair in her mouth. ---
