This topic brought to mind a couple of Terry Pratchett’s fictional characters who, among other laughable “medicinal” habits, dusted their socks with sulfur. I don’t mean disrespect to the OP, but I wonder if **Jim\_B** read those books and thought, “What a great idea!”

When I was a child, I had a friend who had “flowers of sulphur” (i.e. a yellow powder of elemental sulphur) sprinkled on his breakfast cereal every morning. I don’t know exactly why but it seems his mother thought it was beneficial. I haven’t thought about that for 35 years until I read this thread.

Most likely. Eating a few hard-boiled eggs is a sure way to produce a real stinker. And cabbage is, well notorious.

Drinking water that has a high proportion of sulfur (usually as hydrogen sulfide, H2S) will really loosen you up. This applies to many spa waters.

As for a sulfur deficiency, I have never heard of such a thing.
