So two of the first three episodes of this season involve buildings made out of bugs, so to speak, killing people. Will they complete the trifecta? STAY TUNED!!! ---

While the previous episode reflected “The Beast Below,” this one echoes “The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances” - it’s got misrepresented family relationships, a child’s love of his mother motivating the villain, and a resolution in which (almost) “everybody lives!” I liked it. ---

I liked the episode too. It was fun when the Doctor said, “Infestation of the Dryads”, which is what it would have been called had it been a Classic Doctor Who episode. Sort of a call back. ---

I was kind of hoping that the other sets of absorbed people were going to be resurrected as well - but I guess their energy had been used up. ---
