So hysterical! Why are dog farts as funny as people farts? I’ve had dogs that were silent, squeaky, or tootie. I’d never noticed a cat farting tho until I got this old gray male. Rarely, very rarely I’ll hear a quiet fshhhh and then the bad odor hits. Both cats get the same grub, so it must be his system. ---

…especially when company is over. [Dumb joke] A guy is visiting his new girlfriend’s family for the first time. They’re a little stuffy, but their nice chocolate lab comes over and lays by his feet while he sits straight and tries not to do anything off-putting. Unfortunately for him, he’s feeling gassy from the bland dinner, and he thinks it’s going to be tough to keep going with his stomach brewing. Finally, he can’t take it anymore, and lets out a little whiff. Much to his horror, it’s audible! “Trixie”, the mom exclaims, looking at the dog at his feet. “Yes”, the young man thinks, “they think it’s the dog!” Relieved, he lets out another toot. This one a little more decisive. “Trixie!” mother again admonishes. Finally, he finishes with one last audible honk, so glad that even in a pompous uptight family you can always blame the dog. “Trixie” the mother finally exclaims for the last time, “come over here right now before that young man shits on you!” [/Stupid Joke] ---

I’ve only heard Koyo (our Shiba Inu) fart audibly once, but he’s on a raw diet and it suits him really well. We have an air cleaner in our living room that we call the Fart Detector because when someone rips one, we count to three and whiRRRR it kicks into high gear.
