Does a minivan or SUV have a “trunk”?

It is nitpicky to deny the term, as it’s meaning is apparent.

Now it is a trunk, I don’t care, I know what one means by that, and there is really no good term anyway. Cargo area, yeah like I said no good word.

If that is your biggest problem in life you are doing good.

Great point.

You do know the name of this board, right? :stuck_out_tongue: The first two words are “mundane” and “pointless”.

“its”

Whoa, I tried this twice and everything was converted to lowercase, including the emoticon. WTH?

I’d mostly called it “the back,” but I don’t think I’d flinch if someone said “the trunk.” My wife has a hatchback, and we use the term “back” and “trunk” fairly interchangeably, most often in the phrase “pop the trunk.” I’d probably also use it the same way with an SUV, but with a van, I might not call it a trunk, but “the back” exclusively.

Exactly.

All this talk of cars and their hatchbacks, and storage spaces, and trunks, and “in the back”…
