It’s huge because she’s loved and respected out here (she’s not “_just_” Governor Schwarzenegger’s wife, she’s the First Lady of the State of California), because she’s a woman and didn’t choose Hillary, and because its getting headline news [all](http://thepage.time.com/) [over](http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-02-03-shriver-obama_N.htm) [the](http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2008/02/03/maria-shriver-endorses-barack-obama/) [place](http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/03/shriver.obama/) on a day where Hillary got bupkis.

All the news Hillary got today was that she finally got pressed so hard about how she’d enforce her mandatory universal health care program that she had to give a direct answer, and her answer was _ **wage garnishment** _ for those who refuse to comply voluntarily.

> The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC’s “This Week,” she said: “I think there are a number of mechanisms” that are possible, including “going after people’s wages, automatic enrollment.”

> Clinton said such measures would apply only to workers who can afford health coverage but refuse to buy it, which puts undue pressure on hospitals and emergency rooms.

Lovely.
