That’s the right timeframe, I think… Why did I ask? Well, Italian coffee would be, what, cafe italiano? Then a joke translation of Kafee Klatchen would be Klatchian coffee, that is, coffee from a place called Klatch. And in Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series, Klatch is a Arabic/African/Indian sort of place known for their dangerously strong coffee. I don’t know if that was an intentional joke or not… –John ---

I love the name. It’s actually more interesting than most of the others, except that MPSIMS is clever when you know what it stands for. ---

[sub]coffee klatsch[/sub] Oh, you youngsters. A “coffee klatsch” was not an uncommon expression as I grew up in the 1950’s. It even was uttered by Jimmy Cagney in _Yankee Doodle Dandy_ in 1942, **``This war is a coffee klatsch compared to what I go through in the course of a musical show."**. His audience certainly knew what it meant. ---

I agree “Cafe Society” is dumb. Instead, it would have been cool to borrow a phrase from Monty Python: **It’s the Arts** [sub]Remember Arthur “Two Sheds” Jackson?[/sub] ---

I don’t love it, I don’t hate it, but every time I see it I _do_ hear Cartman say “Ca-fay Socie-tay,” which amuses me enormously, so I say keep it. ---

I vote for “Arts & Entertainment.” I think it’s much more descriptive of the actual content of the forum. The current name sounds a little too snobbish for me. Not that we’re voting or anything. ---
