# Does anyone else suffer from DVR-itis?

Some people call this “TiVo debt”.

You have to get into a state of mind where it’s _ok_ for the machine to delete things; as long as there’s plenty of stuff on there you like, and whenever you want to watch something there’s one of your favorite shows available, why would you care? You have to _let go_. After all, every day there are hundreds of shows on hundreds of channels that you aren’t recording and that you won’t be able to watch – you’re missing all those, right?

Of course, I’ve never managed to do this and angst constantly about the amount of shows on my TiVo. I’ve been more disciplined with the Moxi - yesterday it was actually _empty_ !
