At least you would get the text part without any auto-play or pretty graphics. If there is no transcript, you can use some sort of search engine thingy to look for a site that has actual printed words instead of video. ---

The people who want the video aren’t going to read the text. The people who want to read are annoyed that their computer is making noise. ---

Fuck no. I wrote a [blog post](http://shindoisshin.net/blog/2014/5/1/bandwidth-wants-to-be-used) about how much of a pain in the ass it is to have nothing but videos. Sometimes video is better, most of the time it’s not. ---

The only time I’ve ever preferred video to text is when I was trying to rethread my overedger and I couldn’t figure out how to thread one of the needles. I looked at the instructions, but they were no help so I found a Youtube video where they showed exactly where the hole was on the needle (not where I thought) and the hand calisthenics needed to reach it. ---
