A friend tells me that his wife was recommended an Irish film, but she wasn’t told or has forgotten the title. Do you recognize it from this rather vague description?: A older woman (probably a widow) has financial problems. To make some money, she grows marijuana in her garden. This is probably a recent film, since my friend’s wife was recommended the film _Waking Ned Devine_ by the same person. ---

[Kirk Jones](http://us.imdb.com/Name?Jones,+Kirk+(III)) has only directed one film, so it’s not by him. However, a quick search on the keywords _widow_ and _marijuana_ suggests that [Saving Grace](http://us.imdb.com/Details?0195234) is your movie. ---

Thank you. It does appear to be _Saving Grace_ that my friend’s wife was recommended. There appears to be some confusion at some point in the description of the film, since it’s a British film and not an Irish one. I don’t think that the person who recommended this film to my friend’s wife said that it was directed by Kirk Jones. It’s just that _Waking Ned Devine_ was mentioned in the same conversation, and I presumed therefore that the film I was looking for was probably made about the same time. ---
